The Inner Stirring

Of life’s ups and downs

Nothing can ever compete

With inner stirring

As humans, we experience the ups and downs of life. There are the moments when we’re feeling deep in the valley, and other times when we are on the mountaintops. It is a constant journey and we must honor and embrace both views.

One of the practices that helps us move from the valleys to the mountaintops is the spirit of self-renewal. This practice is critical as it helps us refocus, and it allows us to set our goals and vision for our life. This act begins the manifestation of our dreams which then ignites that deeply felt inner stirring. It’s the stirring that doesn’t let us settle. It’s that constant internal pulse that propels us to something more, even when we think we don’t have it in us.

How does one actually renew themselves? There are many ways and certainly no prescribed “treatment”. We know when we have adopted the right “practice” because we feel recharged from an internal, soul satisfying standpoint. It’s as though we have taken a moment to stop and fill up our own emotional bank account. And when we honor this time for ourselves, we are able to scale back up the mountain and clearly hear and sense the wisdom that is forever present.
